Breitling Jet Team

The Breitling Jet Team are based at Dijon, France and display in their seven colourful Aero L-39 Albatros jets. The current sponsors are Breitling which can be seen on these striking dark blue and yellow jets.

The L-39 aircraft is a low-wing, tandem seating, all metal turbofan powered aircraft designed for basic and advanced training, including weapon delivery practicing, as well as for light attack tasks.

History
Based in Dijon, each season the Breitling Jet Team performs around fifty demonstrations throughout Europe, at air shows, Formula 1 Grand Prix races, sports events, etc. Dazzling shows where speed, precision and daring vie with the beauty of the figures.

The air show presented by the Breitling Jet Team generally lasts seventeen minutes. The acrobatic figures of the seven L-39 planes are underscored by a (biodegradable) smoke-trail system; they are also enhanced by a musical accompaniment that further heightens the intensity of the sight.

During the demonstration, the planes alternate figures performed while flying in formation - at around 2.5 m from each other - with formation breaks, crossovers and original figures...

Precision. Speed. Audacity. Aerobatics is one of the world's most demanding disciplines - and one of the most fascinating sights. A concentrated blend of technique, mastery and style. In order to share its passion for aerobatics with a broad audience, Breitling has created the Breitling Jet Team, the world's only professional civilian flight team performing on jets.

Piloted by top-notch professionals, this flight team unique in its kind vividly illustrates the brand's cherished values: performance, precision, aesthetic sophistication and innovation. Each appearance of the Breitling Jet Team is a breathtaking vision. A rapid-fire succession of figures that are perfectly calculated, mastered, synchronized and fine-tuned down to the smallest details. Exactly like a Breitling chronometer movement...
