The 2023 Battle of Britain Airshow was their 8th event, exquisitely blending choreographed Battle-of-Britain era aircraft displays with family friendly attractions and re-enactments in the very airspace where the Battle of Britain took place over 80 years ago.

Headcorn Battle of Britain Airshow History

Headcorn Aerodrome, formerly RAF Lashenden, opened in 1943 and became a prototype for the temporary Advanced Landing Ground airfields that were built in France after D-Day, when the need for advanced landing fields became urgent as the Allied forces moved east across France and Germany.

A small museum of aviation relics was established on the site at Lashenden Air Warfare Museum.

The 2022 Headcorn Battle of Britain Airshow will be the 7th event, exquisitely blending choreographed Battle-of-Britain era aircraft displays with family friendly attractions and re-enactments.
