F/A-18F Super Hornet of US Navy unit VFA-41 Black Aces Rob Day

F/A-18F of US Navy unit VFA-41 Black Aces. Photographed at SBAC Farnborough 2002, landing from its display on the Saturday. This was a different aircraft to that flown on the trade days, which was from a different unit but went tech on the Friday. VFA-41 transitioned from the F-14 to the F/A-18F after returning from their 2001 cruise aboard USS Enterprise as part of CVW-8, during which they were active over Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom post-9/11. Equipment used for this photo was my trusty Ricoh KR-10 and Vivitar 70-210mm, film was Kodak Gold 400ASA.
